PSP on Xbox 360?
Source: PSPVault
A post from the PSP Vault forums today contained these pics and the bleow message:
I
finally got an xbox360 dev kit today, and was able to see how well it
interacts with the PSP. It worked great - I was able to listen to mp3s
right off the PSP through the Xbox360 Music Player, and view images
from the PSP at full screen.
Anyway, here's what it looks like in the Xbox360 Dashboard - click one of the thumbnails below to see a larger image:
WiFi Multi-Test .02 - Sony Gadget version
Ok, this is cool. One of our users, Semtex199 has
emailed us about this cool homebrew program. WiFi Multi-Test .02 for
PSP allows you to view your aibo video cam picture broadcasted live on
the PSP, and more. Heres a list of features:
Features of the WiFi Multi-Test app
- Picker for net conguration (DHCP not supported !)
- Picker for one of four tests
- Connect timeout logic and other improvements
- More fleshed out "sockets.h"-like header (getting better, not complete)
- Sample build with the PSPSDK (version 522 or later)
- Test#1: mini-telnetd like app. Telnet to your PSP
and it will display on the screen. Similar to the original version but
now allows larger display. [TCP/IP with the PSP as the server]
- Test#2: wireless photo frame. UDP send a JPG to your PSP and it will display on the screen. [UDP/IP with the PSP as the server]
- Test#3: AiboCam/Scope viewer. Run RCodePlus or
AiboLifePlus on your ERS-2x0 Sony AIBO robot dog. Shows AIBO camera
image and color detection grids on the PSP. [polled TCP/IP protocol
with the PSP as the client, custom video codec]
- Test#4: CLIE SpyCam Watcher. Run ClieSpyCam (URL) on
your Sony CLIE PDA. Shows the camera image on the PSP. [polled TCP/IP
protocol with the PSP as the client, JPG image data]
PSPopoly Coming Soon
We have been following DigitalFXs progress in our forums for awhile now starting since the beginning post:
Someone
decided to build a monopoly game, its a pretty simple game thats fun. I
hope to implement in time wifi so you could play online or even
locally. I am currently working on the artwork for the game and should
start programming the main functions tonite. I will keep you posted on
the progress. If anyone else would like to help that would be great as
well. Mainly looking for people who want to get sounds and do some
artwork or whatever.ť
Since then we have watched the
community come together in a joint effort with over 100 posts of
working together and its truly amazing to see. With his latest post:
Im
working on a cool idea someone messaged me for the map right now. The
current features are 2 players, no ai. So its a turn based thing, pass
the psp if you will. Rolling the dice works you could move all along
the board. Im currently adding in all the properties. Graphically its
nothing worthy of seeing lol, but in a couple of days ill release what
i have.
ngPsp Update
nexis2600 has posted an update to the status of his
NeoGeo Pocket emulator for the PSP. With the arrival of a new PSP from
donations everywhere, he can now work on adhavoc & Infrastructure
libraries to be used by all emulators for multiplayer support. Heres
what he had to say:
Great news guys. The PSP finaly showed up
today. Well looks like I have a lot to do this weekend. Expect many
updates along the way and hopefuly real quickly an irda build and a
wifi test demo next week.
PSP Virtual Keyboard v2.3

ZOverLord
has updated the PSP Virtual Keyboard and browser for v2.0 PSP’s to
versoin 2.3. Here’s what he had to say about it on his website:
“UPDATE:
Version 2.3 of the English International Version has been released with
the new feature of TRANSLATING WEB PAGES, any web site address now can
be translated by selecting another language before clicking on the go
button. Current Translations supported are:
English to German English to Spanish English to French English to Italian English to Portuguese English to Japanese BETA English to Korean BETA English to Chinese (Simplified) BETA
German to French French to German
German to English Spanish to English French to English Italian to English Portuguese to English Japanese to English BETA Korean to English BETA Chinese (Simplified) to English BETA
Now you can go to web sites you were never able to totally understand on your PSP and read them in your own language.
This upgrade will automatically be there for 2.0 and 2.1 and 2.2 version users.
The English International version contains many more domain buttons, like (".co,.tk.de,.au") and many more.
Please make sure to CLICK on the Detailed Instructions Link for more information.”

Snatcher fMSX v0.62b+ for PSP

UPDATE: He has released v0.62b+. He says about it:
"Reduced
the size of the default RAM available to games, in order to have
smaller save states. Currently they are around 400 KB as opposed to the
4MB ones needed in my previous releases.
I also modified a bit
the Key profile menu. It is now more user friendly (colors, mesages,
etc) and asks before overwriting existing profiles."
Snatcher has updated his fMSX (by Osakana) fix to version 0.62a. This is what he had to say about it:
“This
release includes all the fixes from the fMSX v0.61+ release (by unknown
author), plus another minor update by myself, but one that might be
useful for a lot of people. I added the possibility to save different
key profiles. Since several MSX games make extensive use of the
keyboard, and since you might have different key layouts for each of
them, now you can save and load them from the KEY CONFIG menu. The
option to do this is at the bottom of the menu.
You have
three "slots" to save them. I guessed those would be enough. If you
guys want more, they can be easily added. Just to make things clear,
the configuration and requirements are the same as for version 0.61.”
Someone has posted in our forums a nifty ascii based tetris AI program. Here’s what he had to say about it:
“I programmed a very simple tetris engine + AI. The graphics are all ascii at the moment.
Just run it, and it'll start playing by itself. Other than that, it dosn't do much yet.”
You can get it in [here].
